Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a powerful anionic surfactant used as an emulsifying cleaning agent in many cleaning and hygiene products. It effectively removes oily stains and residues, and is commonly found in engine degreasers, floor cleaners, car wash soaps, toothpastes, shampoos, and shaving foams. It is also an important component in bubble bath formulations for its ability to thicken and create a lather.
