PVOH 30-99 is a medium viscosity, fully hydrolyzed grade of polyvinyl alcohol. It is a white powder that is soluble in hot water but insoluble in cold water and common organic solvents. When prepared in water solutions, PVOH 30-99 forms transparent films with high tensile strength and tear resistance. Its binder characteristics offer excellent adhesion to porous, hydrophilic surfaces. PVOH 30-99 is used as a sizing agent for paper, textile, ceramic fiber, and as wallpaper glue.
